Upstairs Smells Like Attic

I am getting that musty dusty attic or insulation smell from by a c vents and it is more pronounced when very hot outside.

Upstairs smells like attic. You might also have tainted insulation. Let alone there should be a plate barrier between me and upstairs and the attic gable area. I thought maybe an animal got in but i don t hear anything and it s not 24 7 a smell. To paint a proper picture.

I thought there might be air flow from the attic into the house through the attic access. The upstairs furnace is in a small part of the attic where the insulation is rolled. If it smells the same that s your problem. They said the duct work had come loose so they reattached and sealed up.

Whenever the air is on upstairs the upstairs smells musty and has that attic smell the furnace is in the attic but the smell isn t that bad when the heat is on.
